Your reading belongs to you

Here is what happens to the material you share with Sakulus, in plain language.

Last updated October 2026

The short version: Sakulus does not require an account or run its own content-processing server. Your history stays on your iPhone. Some longer transformations can use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute if your settings allow it, and saved prompts can sync through your private iCloud account.

Content you share

Sakulus receives a page, photo, PDF, or text only when you choose to share it or select it in the app. Sakulus uses that material to make the result you requested. Processing happens on your iPhone when possible. If a job uses Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, the content needed for that job is sent to Apple for processing.

Results and history

Your transformation results and history are stored on your iPhone. You can choose how many recent results to keep and clear your history in Settings. Sharing or copying a result sends it only to the destination you choose.

Saved prompts

Prompts you create can sync between your Apple devices using your private iCloud account. They are not published for other Sakulus users to see.

Private Cloud Compute

For longer or more demanding work, Sakulus may use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute when you enable that option. Apple processes the request to return a result; Sakulus does not use its own cloud service for that work. If you prefer, choose on-device processing where available.

Problem reports

If you choose to send a problem report, it can include the page text and the generated result so we can understand what went wrong. Review the report before sending it. Nothing is sent as a problem report unless you choose to send it.
